Would you consider me a “skater poser”?
I don’t believe in labels, but I want to hear your opinions.
I bought a GIRL(brand) skateboard in September. I bought it because I wanted to do a new sport. I skateboard about 2 days a week, and I can’t do an ollie… Even to this day I can’t do an ollie. I try to practice skateboarding as much as I can, but due to school work, I only have the weekends to do so.
I don’t “dress” like a skater (beanies, skate brand shirts, ect) other than skate shoes, but only for skating, not to look “cool.” I don’t speak like the stereotypical skater also, other than saying “dude”(Well… force of habit since elementary school).
I’m mainly asking this because of what I wrote in the first paragraph.
& My friend calls me a poser, for whatever reason I don’t know. Maybe because I don’t dress the part? ‘Cept I ALWAYS see him wearing skatebrand shirts, skinny jeans(&He’s sort of…. big), and he says he can do this and that(High level tricks) but I never seen him do crap.
Ok everyone has to start out from somewhere even tony hawk wasnt able to do an ollie at one time so tell your friend that hes a poser because hes making fun of a beginner skater and no your not poser because your not being all you know big time skater and wearing all the clothes.Keep skating dude you will get better and let me link you a tutorial on how to complete and ollie
